As founders of M House, Scott and Elizabeth Mathieson bring distinct expertise to the table. Scott’s passion for homebuilding is evident in his work, leaving a lasting impression on clients through open communication and a straightforward business approach. Meanwhile, Elizabeth, leading the design department, consistently strives to craft fresh, timeless spaces that mirror the family’s unique aesthetic. Each of our homes are completely custom designed specifically for you. From open floor plans flooded with natural light to finding the perfect light fixture to hang over your dinner table; we incorporate unique elements in each room. Our office is located in downtown Naperville where we do most of our building, but we build throughout the Western Suburbs. Contact us to discuss our inventory of available lots to see if one will work for you. Otherwise, we can work with you to find the perfect location for your M House.
We will locate a lot and establish a preliminary budget based on your family's unique requirements.
We will work together with one of our architectural firms to design and perfect your new floor plan and exterior elevation.
Once the plans are finalized, we will establish a final budget for your new M House and submit the plans for permit so we can begin building your home.
With permits in hand, the building process will begin. As the process progresses we will have a series of selection meetings and collaborative efforts with you, M House designers and our supply partners to choose your home's exterior appointments and interior details for each room.
